Congratulations to Virgin America for including people over 50 in their targeted demographic for new service in the U.S.
The target is people 18 to 64, who travel four to ten times a year, have higher household incomes, and are quite educated. That describes the upper range of that target age group…Baby Boomers.
The plane is wired to the hilt which will please young and older, and the emphasis is on comfort at an affordable price.

Took one of your first flights to Calif last year with my guy and dad (81 yo). It was a disaster!! The flight took over 9 hours from NY to Ca due to electrical? problems, no TV’s or electrical svc in first class. And what were we offered when we disembarked 9 hours later. A $100 credit voucher to be used within 1 year on Virgin. Not much for a great amount of incovenience from an airline trying to attract boomers. My spouse and I were 58 and my dad 81!!

[…] commented recently about how Virgin America has included baby boomers in its target market. It is also very high tech with wi-fi on its planes. […]
