What would you say to a college student if asked what life lessons you’ve learned? A professor at the University of Iowa in Iowa City recently solicited such letters from people over 50 for his students. The project was such a success that it is now on the Internet as The Legacy Letter Project. You can submit your own letter (be sure to read the sample ones) to this ongoing endeavor.

- Organize your own intergenerational event or project.
- Write about it if you are a journalist/writer on topics for mature readers.
